My weight seems to start from 10st 11 then down to 10st 9 then up and down etc etc. I've reduced my calories and even changed my habits so why is my weight doing this. If I sat and ate lots of rubbish then I'd understand
Please help
If you are not actually very overweight but just want to lose some weight for cosmetic purposes, your body is probably working quite hard to hold onto the fat you are trying to dispose of! One theory is that your body has its own ?set point? that it likes to be at. In other words it could be that your body simply thinks around 10 stone 10, 10 stone 11 is a healthy weight for you, thank you very much! But even if this were to be the case, you can still achieve with persistence and shaking up you approach a bit, I think the key to this (sorry!) is probably exercise, especially if you haven't been doing much to date. Exercise, especially strength training, will keep up your metabolic rate and combined with you sticking to your calorie intake, should finally coerce your body into losing weight.
If you haven?t been dieting very long it may simply be that your weight is fluctuating due to changing fluid levels in your body (this can be due to time of the month and even how much salt you eat, These ups and down in your weight may actually mask a downward trend that will emerge more clearly as time goes on.
Whatever is going on, if you stick at it I'm sure things will get better for you.
Best wishes and good luck,
Angela
