If you have an unintentional overeat, what should you do ? (I?m talking overeat of 2000 cals) a. forget about it and carry on, learning from the experience .b. Deduct it gradually from allowance each day c. None of these Thanks Jen W Hi Jen
I think of these options I would go for the one of forgetting it and carrying on! It is difficult to compensate for something after the event, and all you’ll probably end up doing is feeling even worse when you don’t manage it. Concentrate instead on just sticking to your calories from now on.
Can I be a bit cheeky and say it's hard for 2000 calorie overeat to be unintentional though? More likely I would imagine this was a blow out you knew was happening but couldn’t / didn’t choose to control. If this happens quite often then of course you will materially affect your chance of reaching your goal in the time scale you have set. I’d suggest you try to work out what triggered such an overeating session so you can try to avoid it happening again in the future.
No point in beating yourself up about it now though!
Best wishes
Angela
