I'm considering trying the Cambridge diet. Can you tell me if it's safe and whether I should give it a go?
I think it's best you get your doctor's advice on this as this is classed as a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) and as such requires you to be physically and psychologically fit. Essentially, all normal food is banned, and instead you have meal replacement drinks until you lose enough weight and eventually go onto a maintenance plan and reintroduce food. If you've had lots of emotional food issues and are very overweight it might work for you, and the plus side is that you do get monitoring and help to get you through it.
