Hi, I recently joined a well known weight group and followed their diet. At the same time it was confirmed I am intolerant to wheat, milk, eggs and tuna so I have deleted them from my diet.......I stayed within the limits of the diet each week and did exercise regularly by running and walk my dogs, however I failed to lose weight and in fact gained a pound and I really don't understand it at all.
Consequently I left the group disheartened....I also had a hysterectomy 4 weeks ago but kept my ovaries....I'm well enough to return to work and run which I have been doing for a week now but I'm stumped.....Is it because my body is in shock as im eating different foods......my diet is otherwise very healthy....Help!!
You are certainly doing the exercise side of the equation which is great, but your recent operation will, I'm sure, have laid you up for a while, which won't have helped. Quite simply, if you keep to your calorie and fat allowance and continue with your exercise, the weight should come off. If it doesn?t, I?d make a visit to your GP as it could indicate some underlying problems affecting the rate at which your body uses calories - a sluggish thyroid for example. But give the diet a month or so of your devoted attention first. Lots of luck.

P.S. (Removing those foods you mention from your diet won't have affect your ability to lose weight either).
