Hi Can you please tell me how much muesli I should be eating for breakfast. I am eating Lidl Special Muesli. 390 kcal per 100 grams. Usually 125 ml of skimmed milk. Thank you.
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
A standard serving for breakfast cereal is anything between 30-50g - but it depends on the cereal really. For muesli a 45g serving is recommended.
However the most important thing is that you have a portion which provides an appropriate calorie amount. We recommend having 20% of your calories for breakfast, 30% for lunch, 30% for dinner and the other 20% on snacks throughout the day. If your target is 1,400 calories, you should be having approximately 280 calories for breakfast. This could be a 50g serving of muesli with 125ml of skimmed milk, and a piece of fruit!
I hope this helps.
Best wishes
