Help, I'm allergic to nuts...

I was wondering what a good substitute for the essential fats in nuts and seeds would be?! I am very allergic to some nuts and some seeds. I am so upset by this as I love nuts & seeds and found they were a great snack to munch on. I have had a few very severe reactions and ended up in A&E! I avoid all of varieties now just incase!

I am very health conscious and don't want to miss out on all the nutritional benefits nuts and seeds provide. I also suffer from eczema and have found my skin very dry and dull since having to give up my fave snacks!! Please help!

I think avoiding all types of nuts and seeds is very wise, at least until you can get a thorough examination in a medical setting to test more accurately which nuts and seeds you are allergic too. In the meantime look to get these essential fats from other sources like avocados, sunflower oil, rapeseed, olive oil and oily fish.
