Can you motivate me please?

I have been at target for about 6 months now but am finding January a real struggle. I put on a few pounds over christmas but when I have returned to my 1400 calorie a day routine I seem to feel hungry all the time. I am feeling like it is taking over my life and with 3 men to cook for I have started to feel really deprived because they can eat what they like. please help to get my head back in the right place.

I do sympathise! Over the festive season your stomach probably got used to receiving a larger volume of food and has not readjusted yet. This, combined with the fact that January has been a bit grim (and you’ve probably been needing comfort food) will have conspired to make things more difficult for you. One of the things I suggest is that you write down a list of all the positive reasons you’re losing weight and  have a look at it very often.  Try to focus on a range of things - not just cosmetic  like the fact that you'll be able to fit into your jeans, but stuff like you’ll be healthier and  fitter, or able to get more done, that sort of thing. Also is it possible that you get get those three men on board a bit more? Ask them for their help and encouragement and you may be surprised!
