How much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

I have currently lost 6st 7lbs 91lbs 41.3kg. I lost 1st14lbs6.4kg in 2023. Then I found Nutracheck and I started to calorie count, which then helped me to lose 5st 7bs77lbs35kg from Feb 2024 to Dec 2024.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

I wanted to lose weight to start to feel more healthy and have more energy. I was at the point where going upstairs was getting very difficult.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

I found Nutracheck on the App Store and thought I should try it.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

My weight has done nothing but increase ever since my childhood. I finally reached my breaking point at 20st. I never managed to lose weight. I tried slimming world many times but could never lose more than a stone at a time and when I stopped, I would put on double the weight I had lost or more.

Have you experienced any health improvements?

I have noticed massive health improvements, my blood pressure has come down. My mental health has massively improved and my knees and back don’t hurt as much as they used to.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

It was very easy. I still eat whatever I want but I just limit how much I have. You have to learn not to feel guilty about having an unhealthy meal. I learnt to cook the food I was craving and made healthy alternatives.

What was the most difficult thing about your weight-loss journey?

The most difficult thing was getting started and realising it was something I could do. Once you're into it, you just get into a rhythm.

How do you feel now compared to before?

I feel so much better for losing all of this weight. I feel like a new person!

Any notable milestones to report?

My notable milestone is that I now fit into a size 14/16 when I used to be a size 24/26.

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. Just do it. Start right now and don't wait until the new year. Don't make any excuses and just go for it. You have nothing to lose other than the weight.
  2. Eat lots of protein to keep you full.
  3. Bulk up your food. For example, if you want rice have half the amount, then add in cauliflower rice to bulk it out.
