How much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

To date, I've lost 4st 12lbs68lbs30.8kg. I started using Nutracheck on the 16th October 2023. My target weight loss is 5 stone. I started the journey at my heaviest which was 18st 7lbs259lbs117.5kg.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

I was becoming increasingly unhappy with my weight and I was very conscious of how it was going to impact my health if I didn't address it.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

I looked on the Apple App Store for a means of tracking what I was eating. I read the reviews for Nutracheck and I then decided to give it a go.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

In my teens I was naturally slim, I started weight training in my early 20's and the need to increase calories for bulk led me to become more bulky. As I went through my 30's this weight became more difficult to control to the point when I got to my 40's, coupled with a desk job and no exercise in my daily routine, I soon piled the weight on.

Have you experienced any health improvements?

Absolutely! Between controlling my calories with Nutracheck and an exercise routine of running, I'm probably the fittest I've been since my early teens. My resting heart rate is excellent, my lung function has improved immensely and I've gone down three clothes sizes.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

I found the changes relatively straight forward, I set my food diary each day so I know what my daily calories look like and then know how much excess calories I need to burn to stay in the green.

What was the most difficult thing about your weight-loss journey?

Mindset. But if you know you need to make a change you will. Once I had set my mind to it I was determined to achieve my goal.

How do you feel now compared to before?

Amazing. Fit, healthy and it's a great feeling when people who you haven't seen for a while comment on how much weight you've lost and look so well for it.

Any notable milestones to report?

I've already surpassed the 4 stone mark and heading close to the 5 stone mark.I have also entered the Cardiff Marathon next year as I really enjoy running now, and the training and preparation will keep me focused.

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. Set realistic targets, chip away at it and you'll get there.
  2. Be honest when entering your food intake to ensure you are accurately recording your calories.
  3. Trust the process. It does work if you are willing and prepared to be honest and want to change.
